In gently undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 46m, E-W 41.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible from E through S to NW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. The outer bank displays evidence of stone-facing. A field wall cuts the monument at ENE and WSW. There is a well-defined entrance at E. Within the interior are a probable souterrain (GA030-040002-) and CBG (GA030-040001-) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
