What is recorded here

This cross-slab was recorded by Macalister (1945, 521, no. 1), who noted that only a small fragment (L 0.18m; Wth 0.09m) of it survived. It was found in the wall surrounding the graveyard (GA029-180002-) in which 'Temple Jarlath' (GA029-180001-) is situated. Part of a two-line inscription was visible: the letter B and part of a T on one line and below these a small curving segment that may have been part of the letter C. The fragment is now lost (Higgins 1987, ii, 379, no. 99). Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 29 May 2018

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
