On the summit of an esker ridge. This monument was excavated in 1935 (Riley 1936). It consisted of a circular mound (D 7.6m, H 1.2m) constructed of alternating layers of earth and stones and gravel. Almost at the centre was an inverted cordoned urn containing cremated bones and a bronze razor. Numerous animal bones were also found, as well as seven blue glass beads. No visible surface trace survives. A similar mound (GA029-136----) lay c. 200m to SE. (Kavanagh 1976, 323, 365; Waddell 1975, 20; 1990, 96)
