Some 300m W of a ringfort (GA029-028----). Circular rath (D 26m), in fair condition, defined by a tree-lined inner scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank, the outer face of which is revetted with stone. A gap at SE appears modern. At NW, a small quarry has encroached upon the outer bank.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
