Located in an area of rough grassland on a small terrace on the E bank of the Mweelin River, with clear views of Kylemore valley and Ballynakill Harbour to the NW, this roughly circular hut site (int. diam. 2.6m; ext. diam. 4.5m) is defined by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 1.5-1.9m). It is best preserved at S and a gap at NE may the doorway. It was brought to the attention of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Helen Riekstiņš.
