In a relatively flat area of cutaway bog, now partly reclaimed, on N side of Ballynew hill. A thin and squat slab of schist, rectangular in plan (H 1m) with long axis running NNW-SSE. Leans heavily to SSE. Possibly a standing stone but could also be a remnant of the robbed pre-bog walls which lie c. 120m to E (GA022-089----):
