Wakeman (1839b) depicted this cross-slab in 1839 as free-standing in the background of a drawing of the W façade of the church (GA021-026014-) on High Island (White Marshall and Rourke 2000, 16, 100-2, 146, no. 11). It is now set into the internal face of the E wall of the enclosure (GA021-026021-) around the church. Fisher (2014, 208, no. 17, Figs. 7.3, 7.12) notes that it was probably inserted here during the rebuilding of the enclosure. The cross-slab (H 0.62m; Wth 0.56m; T 0.07m), now incomplete, is of garnet mica-schist with quartz veins. It bears an incised outline Latin cross with deep roughly circular hollows at the crossing of the arms with the shaft of the cross. The lateral limbs originally extended to the edges. The top and right arms are missing.
