What is recorded here

At the N end of the graveyard (GA021-026026-) on High Island. Recorded by Fisher (2014, 208, no. 14, Fig. 7.3), this mica-schist cross-slab (visible L 1.18m; Wth 0.63m; T 0.06m) forms the cover stone of Grave 8, the W end of which is sealed by the church (GA021-026014-). The right edge of the slab, which is heavily flaked, is roughly bevelled. A central shaft formed by a double band splits to enclose a roundel at its base. A D-shaped terminal abuts the roundel at the top left edge. (White Marshall and Rourke 2000, 154, no. 24) Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 20 November 2015
