To SW of the larger lake and c. 100m SW of the oratory (GA021-026014-). What survives are the drystone foundations of walls on either side of a small stream at the point where it runs over the cliff edge. Rectangular in plan (L > 6.9m, Wth c. 4.4m), these straddle the stream which at this point is channelled through a narrow gap (Wth 1m). Though described by Macalister (1896a, 204) and Herity (1977, 60) as a 'mill-dam', it is more likely to be the remains of a horizontal mill. Some 18m upstream towards the lake are traces of a possible dam comprising a line of boulders (L c. 4m) straddling the stream. Already in disuse by 1680s (Hardiman 1846, 115).
