On a rise in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved conjoined rath; the S subcircular enclosure (N-S 41m, E-W 37m) is defined by a bank and external fosse with an entrance (Wth 3.5m) at S. The enclosing elements are best preserved from NE through E to SW. The N enclosure (E-W 34m, N-S 28m) is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse with an entrance (Wth 4m) at E. A field bank overlies the enclosing elements from SE through S to WNW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
