What is recorded here

On a S-facing slope in grassland. Circular rath (D 46.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. A scarp forms the inner enclosing element from S to SW. The fosse and outer bank survive from SW through W to NW. (Neary 1914, 114, no. 97) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
