Associated with an ecclesiastical enclosure (GA017-008001-) and church (GA017-008002-), this cross-slab is lying recumbent just inside the bank of the smaller enclosure (GA017-008003-) surrounding the church. Described by Higgins (1987, ii, 282, no. 13) as a stone (L 1.16m; max. Wth 0.27m; T 0.22m) bearing ‘a grooved single-line Latin cross with three slightly expanded or wedge-shaped terminals. The fourth terminal, that at the bottom of the cross, is of irregular oval shape.’ Higgins (ibid.) also noted that, according to local information, the stone was upright up until the late 1970s but was uprooted when a section of the bank of the enclosure was removed.
