In undulating grassland. A circular grassed-over stony mound (D 16m, H c. 1m), in fair condition, with a deep cone-shaped depression at centre. A shallow encircling fosse is visible from S to W tp N. A field wall abuts the monument at N and S. (ASGAP 226:53) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
