What is recorded here

Located close to the S shore of Inishlyon c. 40m E of a house site (GA009D039----) the remains of this field boundary comprise a series of partly-buried stones that run in a NNE direction from the shoreline and terminate at an outcrop of rock. A number stones, some quite large, have been displaced due to storm and wave action. The land to the E this field wall is bogland while that to the W along the shore is more fertile (pers. comm. Erin Gibbons, 29 October 2015). GA009D040----_01.jpg View of the wall looking NNE (photograph courtesy of E. Gibbons, taken 1 October 2015). Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 2 November 2015
