On the S side of Inishbofin, close to the harbour. This small much-eroded island (46m by 18m) is accessible only at low tide. Westropp (1911, 63) noted the 'slight remains of a stone revetment' with 'little more than the lower five or six courses remaining anywhere', this was possibly along the NW side of the island. Only faint traces now survive. There are also three groups of house sites (see GA009D027001- to GA009D027006-). Both Westropp (ibid.) and Hardiman (1846, 116) note that 'Grania Uaile' reputedly built a castle on the island. (Westropp 1914, 332)
