On N-facing slope of a ridge in grassland overlooking bogland to N. Poorly preserved almost circular rath (N-S 36m, E-W 35m) defined by an overgrown bank from E through S to NNW, and elsewhere by a scarp. A number of field banks radiate from the monument. A standing stone (GA007-113----) lies 4.5m to NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
