What is recorded here

On a slight E-facing slope in pastureland. Poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (E-W 62m) defined by a denuded earthen bank which has been straightened off at SE; no visible surface trace survives from SE to SSW. A field boundary cuts through this section of the monument and a road runs close to the bank at W. A gap (Wth 6m) at W appears modern. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
