On a rise in pastureland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a subcircular enclosure (N-S c. 35m) cut by a road from SW to NW. Only faint traces of N half survive, defined by a shallow fosse curving from NW through N to E. A field bank cuts the monument at E and W, and no visible surface trace survives to S of it. A CBG (GA007-073001-) is associated. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
