On S-facing slope of a hill in grassland. Known locally as 'Hernon's Rath' (Neary 1914, 121, no. 69), this well-preserved subcircular ringfort (N-S 37m, E-W 33m) is defined by two stone-faced banks and an intervening fosse. There are traces of a scarp outside the outer bank from SE through S to SW. A gap (Wth 2m) at SSW could be original. A number of field boundaries cut the monument. Abutting the external face of the outer bank at W is a grassed-over circular structure (D 4.5m); possibly a house (GA005-099003-). Within the interior is a CBG (GA005-099002-) and a souterrain (GA005-099001-).
