On a S-facing slope in grassland; it is situated within a modern rectangular graveyard. According to Neary (1914, 125, no. 17), 'tradition associates the name of St. Patrick with the place'. His plan shows a rectangular building, aligned E-W but outlined by a solid line only at E end, which is situated in E half of an oval 'cashel'. All that survives are fragmentary sections of N side-wall and adjoining section of E gable of a rectangular building (L > 7.7m, Wth > 4.7m). No architectural features are visible. The 'cashel' (ibid.) comprises a poorly preserved oval enclosure (E-W 45m, N-S 25m) defined by a denuded earthen bank from SW through N to SE, and elsewhere by a scarp. The E half is much disturbed by modern graves and the graveyard boundary wall cuts across its W sector. An enclosure (GA005-073----) lies 100m to NNE.
