On NW-facing slope of Checker Hill in grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 30m, E-W 27m) defined by an earthen bank from NE to SE; elsewhere a degraded scarp forms the enclosing element. The td. boundary cuts the monument at NW and NE. Neary (1914, 119, no. 19) noted a 'ravelled' outer bank reinforced with stone. No visible surface trace of it survives. A ringfort (GA005-008----) lies c. 270m to SE.
