The OS Letters (1837) include sketches of the Brennanstown/Carrickmines Great area that show a series of enclosures to the S of site of an 'ancient mill'. This was located on a stream E of Carrickmines that runs into Glendruid Glen. There is no visible trace of these enclosures.
