Situated in an upland area (1300-1400 ft. OD.) on a NW facing slope of the Three Rock Mountain, overlooking the valley of the Little Darge River. Possible booley site identified by Coillte establishment Forester, Mr. Ian Bromley, and reported to the DAFM Archaeology & Built Heritage Section by the Coillte Environmental Manager for the region, Mr. Kieran Moloney. Monument located in Coillte owned forest at Tiknock, Co. Dublin, compartment 11753D. This compartment was recently clear-felled under a Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) granted Tree Felling Licence (Ref. TFL DU02-FL0167) and which is approved to be replanted as a Mixed High Forest (with a mixture of native broadleaf and conifer species) as part of the Dublin Mountains Makeover Project. Present remains consist of a circular shaped area enclosed by a drystone wall (H c. 0.9m).
