What is recorded here

In November 1928 two vase urns, one containing a cremation of an adult female were discovered in a quarry at Ticknock. The grave consisted of an unprotected pit with a flat stone at the base (Cahill & Sikora 2011, 184-190). The precise location is unknown. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
