What is recorded here

Situated on the W facing slope of Saggart Hill. A house known as Slademore Lodge was identified by the OS Letters (1837) as the site of a burial ground (Herity 2001, 39). Human remains were exposed during building operations here. A Holy water font was also found at the site. This was the property of St. Mary de Hogges (Ball Vol.3, 125). There are no visible surface remains (Healy 1975, 1-19). Pre-development testing in 2003 revealed a clay-bonded structure associated with a metalled surface (03E1693).
