Excavations in 2006 (06E0176) revealed a possible kiln inside the outer enclosing ditch of a double-ditched enclosure (DU021-106----). This was located 16m S of another kiln (DU021-106002-). It produced charcoal -rich silt deposits (Mc Carthy, c. 2009, 123).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
