Excavations in 2006 (06E0176) uncovered a kiln in association with a double-ditched enclosure (DU021-106----).This was identified in the SW of the site. It was figure of eight shaped and filled with layers of charcoal rich silt and scorching. A small pit or post hole was located at the base of the bowl just below the neck (Mc Carthy, c. 2009, 123).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
