What is recorded here

Located on the N side of a low hill, midway down the slope. The NW angle of a tower house is incorporated into an 18th-century mansion. This tower house was associated with the Talbot family from the 15th to the 17th century. It rises to three stories with later 18th-century battlements added. Built of tightly coursed masonry with dressed quoins and lit by slit loops. The interior is not currently accessible (Ball 1899, 98; Handcock 1899, 54-6). Compiled by Geraldine Stout

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
