What is recorded here

Located on the low-lying grounds of Corkagh Demesne which has been incorporated into a public park. According to Ua Broin (1944, 203), Corkagh House stood 'within the moat of a castle' (DU021-011001-). This had been fed by a tributary of the Camac River. Corkagh House was demolished in the 1960s. There are no visible remains at ground level. Compiled by Geraldine Stout

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
