17th/18th-century graveslab of George Edkins (d. 1697) of Millstreet and his wife Rebecca and nine of their children and 10 of their grandchildren, located in the disused graveyard (DU018-494----) formerly known as the ‘Green Churchyard’ or the ‘Vicar’s Bawn' located to the E and SE of St Patrick’s Cathedral (DU018-020269-) which was closed for burials in 1868. Inscription on the graveslab transcribed by Mrs. T. Long in 1905 as; ‘This is the burial place of Mr. George Edkins of Millstreet who was interred here the 31st of October 1697 Rebecca his wife the 31st of August and nine of their children Also Rebecca wife of George son of the above George Edkins the 19th of December 1735 and ten of their children' (Anon. 1906, 304).
