What is recorded here

Situated in the S wall of the chancel of St Michan's church (DU018-020084-). This is a coffin-shaped slab of light sandstone with a recumbent effigy of a bishop vested in alb, amice, chasuble, maniple, and wearing a low mitre on his head. His episcopal staff lies across the body at a slight angle. The cross head of the staff is of a separate piece of stone and may be part of a later restoration (Hunt 1974, 139).
