What is recorded here

Barron (UJA 1942, 120-1) identified a decorated stone at a possible early church site at Kilmacaran in a small hollow beside the River Annalee. (see CV 023-02501-). 'Small piece of sandstone, obviously the remains of a longer, though not wider slab'. Decoration on only one face. Lightly inscribed 'groups of six-petalled rosettes enclosed in circles. Of these one complete and one half rosette remain'. Now in the National Museum.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
