What is recorded here

Pre-development excavations in 2003 revealed the remains of a large circular structure cut into river-deposits and a 12th-13th century sod layer thought to be a horse-mill. It consisted of a ring-like cut with an outer diameter of 14m. It was 2m wide and c. 0.5m in depth. It was associated with numerous post-holes, stake holes and pits (Cryerhall, A, 2006, 136 in Excavations 2003).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
