According to Ball, the lands of Ranelagh and Sandford were formerly part of the manor of Colonin the Fourteenth century (1903, 108-9). A great portion of the lands were covered with woodhence Cullenswood. In 1326 the buildings , including the Archbishop's hall and chamber, with a chapel attached were ruined. Not precisely located.
