What is recorded here

In 1200 there was a gallows onthe N shore of the Liffey near the modern junction of Parkgate Street and Infirmary Road (De Courcy 1996, 171). It was in use until the 17th century.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows only the centre of the wider government map area. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
