The inner core of a late 17th century house at 6 Upper Ormond quay with a central chimney stack and oak panelled staircase with barley sugar balustered staircase lies behind an early 19th century façade. Itis two bay and four storeyhigh. The position of roof timbers indicate the original form of a heavier structure with a gabled frontand rear (Freddie Dwyer pers comm).
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
