Described on the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map as 'The water that SuppliethDublin. Shown as 'Mill Race', 'Watercourse' on the 1837 OS 6-inch map. This is a branch of the medieval Dublin Watercourse that led to the Grand Canal Harbour.
