The foundation stone of the meeting house for the Moravian Church in Ireland was laid on the 29 November 1754 and the church was opened for membership on the 3 April 1755. A school room and vestry were added in 1798 and in 1838 extensive repairs were carried out to the building. The meeting house is represented on Rocque's map (1756).
