What is recorded here

In 1662-3 William Hawkins built a river wall on or close to the line of the present quay wall. Subsequently, in c. 1680 Major Henry Aston developed this river frontage. It was known as Aston's Quay in 1708 (De Courcy 1996, 12-3).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
