Possible holy well described by Ó Danachair (1958, 233) as; 'a well which formerly existed near the corner of Montague Street and Camden Street was said to be dedicated to Saint Kevin, and to have served the ancient monastery [DU018-020971-] nearby. O'Hanlon (1873, vol.6, 89) recorded the following details about the location of St. Kevin's Well; 'In the kitchen of Mr. Donegan, a butcher, living at the corner of Montague Street, in the Parish of St. Nicholas, there is a stone trough, formerly belonging to St. Kevin's Well, and which was within the yard of that house.
