What is recorded here

During the middle of the 19th century and in the 1930s, late 9th-century Norseburials were discovered on the lands of Islandbridge Memorial Park. Items from the grave included sword fragments, spear, abeads and a skeleton. The grave goods indicate one and possibly two burials , one female (Briggs, 1985, 94-108; De Courcy 1996, 205).
