There is an 'old Theatre' marked on Rocque's map 1756. This was the Theatre Royal, built only twenty years earlier (1733) by the architect of the Parliament House, Edward Lovett Pearce ( Lennon & Montague 2010, 49). Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 15 January 2013
