What is recorded here

There is a Presbyterian Meeting House marked on Rocques map 1756. It lay at the northern end of Meeting House Lane. This Presbyterian meeting house was known as the Capel Street Meeting House. This congregation dated back to 1667 and was one of the earliest of the denominations in the city. It later moved to Rutland Square (Parnell Square) where it retained in its name the association with its former premises, being called the Abbey Presbyterian Church (Lennon & Montague 2010, 17).
