The Civil survey (1654-6) mentions a thatched house with a thatched stable and five small cottages owned by Lord Baron of Howth in Kilbarrack (Simington 1945, 170). These may have been on the site of Kilbarrack House. Not visible at ground level.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
