Excavation (Licence no. 05E0644) undertaken at the site in advance of a residential development revealed an oval pit (1.6m x 1m) located 19m NNW of another pit (DU014-114001-). It contained four fills with two distinct layers of burning. A flint scraper was recovered from the fill of the pit suggesting a prehistoric date.
