The Vestry Books from Finglas for the year 1657 describe the repairs which were being undertaken on a 'little stone bridge in the town' (Stubbs, 1916, 28). This bridge spanned the Finglas stream, a tributary of the river Tolka. Modern road construction in the town has removed all traces of this bridge. Not visible at ground level.
