According to Flanagan, Drynan House was a Jacobean mansion built during the reign of Charles 1 (1984, 52, 59). There is a housing estate on the site. A sheela-na-gig (DU012-024002-) was removed from a gate post at Drynan House in the 1940's and placed in the National Museum, Dublin (Dunlea 1945, 114).
