The Down Survey (1655-6) map shows a dwelling at the location identified as 'Kilcoskan House' on the 1937 OS 6-inch map. There is a house marked at this location on Rocque's map (1760). Today there is a modern bungalow on the site. The site is on a natural rise surrounded by level grassland. Not visible at ground level.
