Geophysical survey (Licence no. 13R0049) undertaken in advance of proposed development, identified a group of circular features (c. 5m diam.). Test-excavation (Licence no. 13E0147) confirmed archaeological features continued into the adjacent field. Based on their location on a natural terrace in close proximity to a water source with good visibility and shelter, these have been interpreted as representing domestic activity, houses or working platforms (O’Carroll 2013, 17).
