What is recorded here

Located in a large open field of tillage. There are extensive views south to Howth Head. Ground ever so slightly undulating dropping down to south and east. Aerial photographs (FSI 423/2) shows cropmarks of a circular enclosure associated with a possible field system. Geophysical survey undertaken by the Discovery Programme LIARI Project in 2012 records the details of successive enclosures and field system (DU008-052003-). This enclosure (c.30m diam.) has all the appearance of a pre‐existing feature that has been incorporated into the field system, one of whose boundaries bisects it (Dowling 2013, 15).
